The Portville Review, Portville, NY, September 18, 1924, p. 1 CELEBRATED WEDDING ANNIVERSARY Mr. and Mrs. James Archibald of Main street, Portville, N. Y., celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary Saturday, the thirteenth. The house was beautifully decorated with cut flowers, the color scheme being yellow and gold. Three bride's cakes adorned the various tables. A chicken dinner was served to fifty guests. In the evening a dance was given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Archibald of Brooklyn street in honor of the bride and groom of fifty years. They were the recipients of several gold pieces and many beautiful and useful gifts. The out-of-town guests were: Mr. and Mrs. Bert Hilmer, Mrs. Kittle Goding, Mr. and Mrs. Hudson Lyman, Hector Dardenne and children, Mr. Victor Manning and daughter Lenora, Mr. and Mrs, Walter Doll and children, Mr. and Mrs. John Lyman, and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lyman. all of Port Allegany; Mr. and Mrs. Alec McCaig and daughter Dorothy of Lancaster; Mr. and Mrs. Rosco Lyman and daughter Dorothea, Mr. and Mrs. Morris Lyman and family, and Mr. Goodrich, of Roulette; J. W. Lyman and Clifton Lyman of coudersport; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Lyman of Buffalo; Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Archibald and family of Olean and Mr. and Mrs. Burger of Haymaker.

The Rev. Arthur Partington, pastor of Portville Methodist Episcopal Church officiated Burial was in Chestnut Hill Cemetery The pall-bearers were Paul Holcomb William Skiver, Charles Lamb, Louis Vaughn, Charles Elliott and Niles West. Relatives and friends present from of town were: Mr and Mrs. Maurice Goodrich, Mrs. Gladys Lyman, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Archibald, James and Donald Archibald, Mrs. Minnie Bennett, Richburg; M. J.
