Baldwin, retired lawyer, formerly of 2 Rector Street, and son of the late Columbus Baldwin, at one time a member of the firm of Woodward, Baldwin & Company, 45 Worth Street, died after a short illness in London last Wednesday.

Mr. Baldwin had retired from practice and spent most of his time in traveling. His home was at 140 West 57th Street, and it was said that he had left there last May for a trip to Europe.

A cousin of Mr. Baldwin, William Henry Baldwin of the firm of Woodward, Baldwin and Company, had started for his bedside on the Mauretania, when he learned of the death.

Mr. Baldwin was unmarried. He was graduated from Harvard College with the class of '91, and was a member of the Tennis and Racquet, Knickerbocker and Brook Clubs.

He is survived by a sister, Mrs. W.B. Bristow.

The funeral services of the late JAMES DIXON ROMAN BALDWIN, who died July 3rd, at Hampton Court, England, will be held at old Trinity Church, New York City, today noon. The body will be brought to Hagerstown Monday night and interment will be Tuesday, October 15, at Rose Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Baldwin was a prominent lawyer of New York City, was a grandson of the late Hon. James Dixon Roman and a son of the late C.C. and Sallie Roman Baldwin, and cousin of Mrs. J.W. Humrichouse, and Mrs. Buchanan Schley. He leaves one sister, Mrs. W.B. Bristown, of New York City.
