James Barry, 5th Earl of Barrymore

James Barry, 5th Earl of Barrymore was born on 25 April 1717 at London, England.1 He was the son of Lt.-Gen. James Barry, 4th Earl of Barrymore and Lady Anne Chichester.1 He married Hon. Margaret Davys, daughter of Paul Davys, 1st Viscount Mountcashell and Catharine M'Carty, on 8 June 1738.1 He died on 19 December 1751 at age 34 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.1 His will (dated 16 December 1751) was proven (by probate) in 1752.1
He matriculated at Brasenose College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, on 12 January 1732/33.1 He graduated from Brasenose College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1735/36 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He succeeded to the title of 10th Viscount Barry [I., 1541] on 5 January 1747/48.1 He succeeded to the title of 23rd Baron Barry [I., c. 1261] on 5 January 1747/48.1 He succeeded to the title of 5th Earl of Barrymore, co. Cork [I., 1628] on 5 January 1747/48.1
