Richard Barry, 6th Earl of Barrymore

Richard Barry, 6th Earl of Barrymore was born in October 1745.1 He was the son of James Barry, 5th Earl of Barrymore and Hon. Margaret Davys.1 He married Lady Amelia Stanhope, daughter of William Stanhope, 2nd Earl of Harrington and Lady Caroline Fitzroy, on 16 April 1767 at St. Martin-in-the-Fields Church, Covent Garden, London, England.1 He died on 1 August 1773 at age 27 at Dromana, County Waterford, Ireland, from a fever.1 He was buried at Castle Lyons, County Cork, Ireland.1 He died intestate and his estate was administered on 13 September 1773.1
He succeeded to the title of 24th Baron Barry [I., c. 1261] on 19 December 1751.1 He succeeded to the title of 6th Earl of Barrymore, co. Cork [I., 1628] on 19 December 1751.1 He succeeded to the title of 11th Viscount Barry [I., 1541] on 19 December 1751.1 He was educated at Westminster School, Westminster, London, England.1 He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Captain in October 1767 in the service of the 9th Regiment of Dragoon Guards.1
