FREMONT--J. W. Dinsmore, 70-year-old retired farmer, died unexpectedly today at 7:15 a.m. at his home near here.
The son of D. H. and Rachel Dinsmore, he was born near Fremont on September 2, 1878, and had spent his entire life in the Fremont community. His marriage to Cecile Phillippe took place in Fremont, December 24, 1903. He was a member of Woodmen of the World Lodge.
Mr. Dinsmore is survived by his wife; two daughters, Miss Garnet Dinsmore at home and Mrs. Harry Poffenberger of Lanyon; three sisters, Mrs. Lena Rhoads and Mrs. Nellie Aldridge of Fremont and Mrs. Pearl White of Lexington, Kentucky; three brothers, Frank of Fremont, C. C. of Ottumwa and Harry of Flint, Michigan, and one granddaughter. He was preceded in death by one sister, Mrs. Ethel Rhoads.
The body is at the Community Funeral Home in Ottumwa.
DINSMORE FUNERAL
Funeral services for James W. Dinsmore, who died suddenly Wednesday at his home in Fremont, will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, at the Fremont Baptist Church.
The Rev. R. A. Reed of the church will be in charge, assisted by the Rev. J. W. Zerbe. Nephews will served as pallbearers. Burial will be in Cedar Township Cemetery north of Fremont.
The casket will be taken to the home from the Community Funeral Service in Ottumwa Friday morning.
