About James Montgomery Gilchrist, jr.
United States Military Attache to the US Embassy in Australia when a body of a man was found upon Somerton Beach in Adelaide, South Australia on the morning of 1/12/1948, known as the Somerton Man mystery. Some have speculated that corpse might've been of a spy, due to a code found in a copy of Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám that has a the words Taman Shud torn from it that is supposedly a match to the scrap of paper with Taman Shud written upon it found in the dead man's trousers. If the Somerton Man mystery is espionage related, then the Military Attache (Intelligence Officer?) of the US Consulate would of known about it.
