2. JAMES2 LATIMER (STEVEN1) was born Bef. 1675 in MD, and died 1718 in Charles Co, MD. He married MARY BRANDT December 29, 1697 in Charles Co., MD, daughter of RANDOLPH BRANDT and MARY. She was born Bef. 1682 in Barbados, and died 1717 in Charles Co, MD.

In his will Captain Brandt mentions:

Secondly I give and bequeath unto my loving son-in-law, James Latimer and Mary his wife, my second daughter and to their heirs by them begotten, two several tracts of land lying in Charles Co, next adjoining to the land of Thomas Baker, on the hood of __land, one of which parcels I lately purchased of Mary Maycock, widow, containing 80 and 5 acres as by a certain indenture enrolled in the records of Charles County; the other tract or parcel of land lying next adjoining the former and by me lately resurveyed and certified thereof returned for 110 acres called 'Putney".

Also, I give unto James and Mary his wife and their heirs one negro girl named Susan with her future increase.

Possibly an Attorney in Charles county from 1696 to 1716. He possibly lived in VA and came to Maryland for Court.
