About James Ennis Lee, Sr

James E Lee, 61, of 93 Rook Court, a Battle Creek resident since 1961, died at 2:30 a.m. today in a local hospital where he had been a patient two days. He had suffered from a heart ailment for more than a year.
Mr. Lee had been employed by the Grand Trunk Western Railroad as an electrician for more than 20 years, in Detroit and Battle Creek. He was financial secretary of his local of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
He was born Jan. 26, 1907, in Howard County, Ind., a son of Fred C. and Hopper Lee. His first marriage, in 1935 to Rosemary Murphy, ended in divorce in 1947.
Mr. Lee was married here Jan. 26, 1952 to Angelia Demming, who survives. His other survivors include a son, James E. Lee, Jr. of 132 Fairfield Ave.; a stepson, Robert Demming, of Muskegon Heights; a sister, Mrs. J.B.
