Roy Chalmer Lee was b 8 Dec 1902,West Middleton,Howard Co.,IN and d 5 Aug 1958 South Bend,St Joseph Co.,IN.

Roy Lee became a machinist; left high school because he was ashamed of his clothing and found he could earn a good living without a diploma.

Roy Lee became a Mason, and wore a gold Masonic ring.

In June 1934, Roy moved his wife and two children to Washington D.C. where he had found work in the Navy Yard. The family returned to South Bend IN (living at 214 E Fairview) in 1942.

Roy Chalmer Lee's mother and 1st wife died within a week of each other in 1952. He felt responsible for his wife's death because he was driving the car when she was killed in an accident on icy roads. He grieved for years.

Roy Lee found happiness with second wife, Irene (Kruck) Haney b 6 Nov 1899 South Bend, St Joseph, IN d 26 Dec 1966 South Bend, St Joseph, IN, whom he m 3 Aug 1957. Roy and Irene Lee lived at 617 S 23rd St.,South Bend, IN.
