Malcolm McLean, “Caluim MacIain Ic Lachlainn,” was descended from the McLeans of Duart. He resided in Barra and had a large family, viz., John, John, Alex, Neil, Archy, Ann, Christy, Mary, Sarah, Catherine.

When they came to this country, all of them, except Archy, settled at Middle Cape and its vicinity.

Archibald settled in Benacadie Glen, and married Maggie, daughter of Donald McNeil “Og.”
Issue: — Malcolm, Stephen, Donald, Teresa, Sarah, Mary, Angus, John.

Donald married Elizabeth, daughter of James McSween, Boisdale. Issue: — Stephen married in Sydney; James, who was married to Mary, daughter of Hector McLean, McKinnon’s Harbour, and Maggie who is dead.

Donald McKinnon (Neil) settled at Shenacadie. He married Flora, daughter of James McSween, of Boisdale.

Issue: — Mary, Ann, Elizabeth, Neil, James, Michael, Alex, and Joseph
