About James Philip Packer, III
Philip and Ann lived for a time at the forks of Cooper Creek. Movedlater to Yellow Springs in Chester co.
He appears to have been connected with the Friends at East Calvin M.M.While he lived in Maryland he built a grist mill between the twobays.
Tax lists show Philip in Pikeland Township Penn in 1748, 1749, and1750. He injured his back at the mill and was struck by a pitman sothat in later years he walked with 2 staves. Lived with JamesUrchland at one time in Chester Co. Mr Davnington. Then he livedwith son Moses.
The widow Ann lived with son Moses until he moved to York Co Penn. atwhich time she went to live with son James . Lived with him 18 years.

James Packer, the grandfather, was born in 1725, in New Jersey, at the site
of the present city of Princeton, and was a son of Philip Packer and Ann
Coates. Philip Packer was an English Quaker, and among the first emigrants
to West Jersey, under the auspices of William Penn and other leading Friends
of that day, and his descendants adhered to the same religious faith.
Philip III Packer was born in Coopers Creek, Pensauken, Camden, NY in 1686 to Philip Packer II and his first wife, Hannah Sessions. Philip was married, in 1724 in Chester, PA, to Ann Coates II.
