James Wilson, Crew "Sirius" "Lady Penrhyn" 1788

James WILSON was born c1764 in Philadelphia

James sailed on "Sirius" on 23/3/1787.

On 13/7/1787 he was transferred to the "Lady Penrhyn"

At Rio de Janeiro, he was transferred back to "Sirius"

On 14/2/1789 he jumped ship at the Cape of Good Hope

James had a relationship with Ellen WAINRIGHT and they had the following children

• Mary Ann WiLSON born 24/5/1789

NOTE: James is not the father of Ellen's other children as has been reported in some trees. He did not arrive in the colony having jumped ship prior to arrival in Australia.

NOTE: James cannot be the same James WILSON who fathered a child Sarah born 19/5/1791 with Elizabeth MITCHELL as he never arrived in the colony having jumped ship prior to landing. Unlikely to have then returned to England and then came out on another ship.
