5. James Wright, b. circa 1640-41 prob. at Wethersfield, Conn., d. Dec. 24, 1727 at Middletown, Conn., Æ 88;

He m. 1) Mary, who d. 1659 at Wethersfield.

m. 2) Nov. 20, 1660 at Wethersfield, Dorcas Weed, dau. of Jonas of Stamford, Conn., formerly of Wethersfield, who d. at Middletown, Conn. on Dec. 24, 1692.

James had numerous children, but their identity is not well-proved.

Notes

"he d. 24 Dec. 1728 in 88th yr. leaving a wid. (3d marr.) Mary, who d. 20 Oct., 1740, in 80 yr.--acc. To statement in Htfd. Times, 12 Jan., 1903."[1]"

Stiles seems to have gotten his notes on James2 and his son James3 confused. The portions in bold above almost certainly apply to the son.
