James de Audley (de Aldithley)

No primary source confirms that this James died in Ireland. A FamilySearch webpage shows no sources as proof for the following short Bio: "When James de Audley was born in 1250, in Audley, Staffordshire, England, his father, James de Audley Justiciar of Ireland, was 25 and his mother, Ela Longespée Countess of Warwick, was 27. He married Maud DeAudley about 1275, in Edgmond, Shropshire, England, United Kingdom. They were the parents of at least 1 daughter. He died on 23 November 1273, in his hometown, at the age of 23."

A writ dated 22 Nov "2 Edw I", after the death of "James de Aldithele alias Audithele..." names "Henry his brother aged 22 and more is his next heir" and orders the delivery “to Maud late the wife of J. de Audel in tenancy the manor of Ford [by way of dower]”[22].
m as her first husband, MATILDA, daughter of --- (-[Apr] 1276).
A writ dated 22 Nov "2 Edw I", after the death of "James de Aldithele alias Audithele..." names "Henry his brother aged 22 and more is his next heir" and orders the delivery “to Maud late the wife of J. de Audel in tenancy the manor of Ford [by way of dower]”[23]. She married secondly John Deivill Lord Deivill. Inquisitions after a writ dated 22 Apr "4 Edw I", following the death of "Henry de Audidelegh..." record the manor of “Austanesfelt...held by Maud late the wife of James de Audedele of the said Henry in dower who died eight days and more after the said Henry”[24].

III [1272], on the complaint of Ella, late the wife of the said James, that the escheator had taken into the king's hand the manors of Stratton and Wechewik, which were of her free marriage of the gift of her father William Lungespei. Inq. (undated.)
James his son, aged 22 and more [b. abt. 1250], is his heir.
Oxford. Stretton and Wrechewic manors, are held of the fee of Henry de Laci, and were given in free marriage with the said Ella to the said James.
