Jamie ANGUS

Jamie Lawrence Angus, 83, from Linden Cumberland County, passed away on Thursday, February 4th 2016 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre surrounded by his loving family. Born in West Linden, he was a son of the late Maynard & Mary (Atkinson) Angus.

Jamie worked in the woods and on the family farm in his early days, and then as a dairy farmer on his own farm until he retired. Jamie enjoyed spending time with his family, playing and winning at cards. He liked puzzles, spending time tending his vegetable and flower gardens and his fruit trees.

Jamie will be sadly missed by his wife, Emma; sons, Grant (Cindy) and Terry (Cheryl), his daughter, Vicki Darragh (Derek); grandchildren, Jeffrey (Christine) Collins, Jennifer Collins, Jamie Angus (Trevor Brimicombe), Gregory Angus (Kara), Logan & Brooklyn Darragh; great grandchildren, Nathan & Noah Collins, Elizabeth, Jessica, Alexander & Lucas Brimicombe; brother, Albert Angus (Mildred), sisters Grace MacDonald & Millie Hall.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by his daughter Sandra Collins, brother Harold Angus, sisters, Hazel Prescott, Marion Smith, Helen Bryson and Della MacNeil.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Furlong-Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St., Amherst, NS (902-667-8777) . The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 1-2 p.m. on Sunday, February 7, 2016 with the funeral service to follow. Burial to take place at the Renwick United Church Cemetery at a later date.
