Jan Hettema (1933 – 2016)
Brief overview:
Jan (83), a multiple South African national rally champion, and also a cyclist. He competed in three events at the 1956 Summer Olympics. Jan was shot in the face and killed in a Farm Attack on his small holding plot 30, Tweedrag near Boschkop in Cullinan, just outside of Pretoria.
