    • The two brothers from Lesotho stood in the dock yesterday after excellent police work and a successful extradition application by the director of public prosecutions (DPP) in the Free State.
    • Adv. Jannie Botha, from the DPP's office in Bloemfontein, led the extradition application. The policemen who solved the crimes and helped to tie the knot for the extradition were Insp. Gert van der Merwe, detective from the police's unit against serious violent crime in Phuthaditjhaba, and Capt. Hans Wessels, chief of police on Hobhouse.
    • The two brothers, who both worked for the murdered Terblanche at one stage, admitted guilt in a plea agreement before Judge Hancke yesterday. Thanks to their plea agreement with the state, their trial was completed promptly.
    • The eldest brother was sentenced to life in prison for the murder, and concurrently to 18 years for the brutal attack on Mrs. Terblanche and 15 years for the armed robbery on the couple's farm. The younger brother was sentenced to 23 years in prison for the murder and another 15 years to go with it for armed robbery.
    • Judgement handed down in Circuit Court by Judge Faan Hancke.
