Frederick Adriaantz , free black, offers burgher Jan Mostert from Wieringen (Jan Mostert van Wieringen) and Hendrik Stade as sureties for the manumission of his slave girl Leentje of the Cape.(Memorial No 111)
'As Juliana and Jan Mostert of Wieringen are already married at this date, I have assumed the Jan Mostert's connection to Frederick Adriaantz is through his wife Juliana Adriaantz/Adriaanse. It is possible that Frederick is Juliana's brother as one of the illegitimate children of Rachel van de Caap is baptised on the 11 April 1784 as the daughter of Fredrik Adriaanse. It was common practice to name children after grandparents and siblings and the dates are plausible
