There are numerous Rosettas van Bengale at the Cape in the early 1700's, and the only one found documented to have had a relationship connection (firm friendship) to the Jonker family - is Rosetta van Bengale, SM/PROG who was the former owner of Jonker van Makassar's wife Rosetta van Java/Boegies. This Rosetta van Bengale was childless and married to her former slave Aron/Arend van Balij. The Jonker children of Jonker van Makassar and Rosetta van Java/Boegoes are beneficiaries in 2 of her wills, and Adolph Jonker stood surety to help her husband free a slave of his.
