In 1838 Jane lodged a claim for her fathers land.

She died on October 17, 1848 in Black Creek, Bulwarra, Cloden, Maitland, New South Wales, Australia and was buried in Hunter Valley, NSW, Australia.

One rood in the County of Cumberland, parish of Saint Matthew, town of Windsor, allotment No. 60 ; bounded on the south-east by a line dividing it from Macquarie-street, and bearing north 34 degrees east 1 chain ; on the north-east by a line dividing it from allotment No. 58, and bearing north 56 degrees west 2 chains and 50 links ; on the north-west by a line dividing it from allotment No. 61, and bearing south 34 degrees west 1 chain ; and on the south-west by a line dividing it from Forbes-street, and bearing south 56 degrees east 2 chains and 50 links to Mac- quarie-street. This allotment according to the original map was located to Alexander Arthur, deceased, claimant alleges, that she is his only child and heiress at law.
