About Jane Miller


Jane was born about 1721. She was the daughter of John Hore and Jane Unknown. She passed away about 1767. In the will of her father John, dated 1749, he makes a bequest to William Miller "that marry'd my daughter Jane."


In the publication by Arnold Harris Hord, he states that 'William Miller was son of John Miller, whose will was proved in Essex County, 20 december 1743, John Miller was the son of Captain Simon Miller, whose will was proved in Old Rappahannock County, 2 May 1684.


Jane Hord married William Miller and had issue Elizabeth Miller, who married the Rev Joseph Bledsoe. Their daughter Jane Bledsoe married Major Walker Baylor of the Revolutionary Army.
