Jane "Jennie" O'Neill Hardy

Jennie Madsen was born June 30, 1916, in Idaho, the sixth of seven children born to Anton Elmer Madsen and Sarah Nelson, in Bloomington, Bear Lake County, Idaho. Sadly, her mother, Sarah, passed away just five years later in 1921, and her father passed away in 1936. In 1940 she was living in Rock Springs, Sweetwater, Wyoming, and was working as a nurse at the Wyoming General Hospital. For the 52 weeks she worked in 1939 at 48 hours per week, her income was $720. She had a 4-year high school education, and was listed in the census as 23-year old Jane Madsen from Idaho. About 1952 she married Robert Newland O'Neill.

Jennie was listed as Jennie M. O'Neill in 1954, working as a registered nurse at the Las Vegas Hospital and Clinic, and living at 1412 Cottonwood Place, per a U.S. Directory Listing. Her husband, Robert N. O'Neill was working for the Silver Slipper Hotel. They must have divorced not long after that because on October 7, 1963, Jennie married Stanley L. Hardy in Clark County, Nevada.

Robert Newland O'Neill, born in Webb City, Missouri, October 31, 1897, passed away June 21, 1968, in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, from a myocardial infarct. At the time, his ex-wife, Jennie, was living at 1390 S. 8th Street in Las Vegas, and was notified of his death on June 21, 1968, along with a son, Robert O'Neill, Jr., living at 8864 W. Asbury Avenue in Denver, Colorado. Other known relatives were James Madsen O'Neill, son, 1390 South 8th Street, Las Vegas, and daughter, June O'Neill Pollock, living at 656 Gold Star Home in Long Beach, California.

In 1993 she was listed as Jennie M. Hardy and was living at 1417 Santa Margarita Street, Las Vegas, Nevada. Jennie passed away March 31, 2002, while living in Las Vegas and was buried in the Bunkers Eden Vale Cemetery in Las Vegas.
