Janet married 3 times: 1st Colin Campbell of Glen Ure, 2nd Charles Baillie (son of William Baillie of Rosehall, 3rd Archibald Hart. She died 10.12.1767 and is buried in Edinburgh.

Hi, Janet, m. Colin Campbell of Glenure, who was murdered by one of
the Stewarts of Ardshiel in 1752. Her issue was three daus. :

  • 1. Elizabeth Campbell, d. young.
  • 2. Louisa Campbell, inherited 1/4 of the estate of Bighouse, and m. George Mackay of Handa, who purchased the remainder of the estate, and was afterwards known as of Bighouse. She had issue (See Sandwood Mackays).
  • 3. Colina Campbell, m. James Bailie, merchant in Bristol and Granada, and M.P. for Horsham.

Janet, who married Colin Campbell of Glenlire ; The eldest daughter, Janet, had by her marriage three daughters,

  • 1st, Elizabeth, who died young unmarried ;
  • 2nd, Louisa, who married George Mackay of Handa, afterwards Colonel George Mackay of Bighouse ; and
  • 3d, Colina, of whom afterwards.

Colina, youngest daughter of Colin Campbell of Glenure, married James Baillie, Esq. of Grenada: issue three sons and three daughters ; the eldest son,

  • Alexander, unmarried ; the
  • 2nd James, married : issue ; the
  • 3d Evan, married :issue.
  • The eldest daughter married Mr Higgins : issue three daughters, the eldest of whom married a nobleman in Sicily : issue one son ;
  • the 2nd married Mr Peach of London ; and the
  • 3d married Captain Lloyd, R.N pg. 570

By some family arrangements, the estate became the property of Louisa and her husband
