The Late Mrs LYONS. — Our obituary column announces the death, at the age of seventy-one, of Mrs. Lyons (relict of the late Mr. Thomas Lyons, who died a little over two years ago), at Fenn- place, Hindley-street went where she had resided for more than twenty years. She was among our oldest and meat respected colonists. Her late husband was for over thirty-five years in the 'British Army. She and her family arrived in the colony in the year 1853, since which time she has never been out of it She leaves four -sons, Mr. T. W. Lyons, professor of music, Mr. C Lyons, of the well-known firm of Lyons and Leader, Mr. J H. Lyons, Principal of the North Adelaide High School, and Mr. W. P. Lyons, at present out of the colony. The daughters are Mrs. Whitington, wife of Mr. W. P. Whitington, Chief Clerk in the Audit Office, Mrs. Forrester, of East-terrace, and two unmarried daughters, who are known for the aid they are ever ready to give to charities in the city and suburbs.

Obituaries state that Janette Lyons family arrived in 1852/3, still looking for them on passenger lists.
