42003a5 Jasper Mallory "Mal" Daniels Jr (aka Allen Farrell) 12 May 1912 S Vancouver BC (1945 changed his name to Allen Farrell after attending a meeting of Kabalarians, something he regretted shortly before his death,)

Earliest years lived a Siwash Creek at the head of Powell Lake BC. where his family homesteaded. On a bare, stump-strewn flat beside the waters of Powell Lake, they built a sturdy log home with a fieldstone fireplace, encircled by a picket fence. Bushes thick with berries grew on the hillsides and among the charred stumps that surrounded their carefully tended garden. His father worked at a variety of jobs on the lake. Even though he worked with his hands, Jasper was a gentleman, who educated himself by reading widely, and was always well-dressed, wherever he went. Mallory was six when the First World War ended.

Ae 17 shipped aboard a freighter bound for the Orient. Living on his schooner "China Cloud" Victoria/ Lasquiti Island BC summer 2001. d 10:10 pm Wednesday 13 Mar 2002 (exactly one week after the death of this sister Lois)

He was a famous wooden ship builder in the Strait of Georgia 

Two books were written about his life; Sailing Back in Time and Salt on the Wind

Jasper Mallory Daniels was a famous wooden ship builder who lived most of his life on the Strait of Georgia. He built more than 40 wooden ships entirely by hand and without the use of power tools

His ancestor is John Daniels of Rutland Vt who married 1796 Phebe Miller.This John Daniels is said to be the descenant of Capt Nathaniel Daniels of Rutland and previously MA. (But the dates don't match)Phebe Miller's parents, Aaron Miller and Ruth Ingalls were also from MA.
