On the census of 1671 taken of Port-Royal, Jean was age 19 and unmarried, still living with his parentsand his 17-year-old sister Magdeleine. He married first Jeanne Bourg in 1673 at Port-Royal, Acadie. Together they had 4 children:

  2. Marie-Madeleine Belliveau
  3. Charles Belliveau
  4. Antoine Beliveau

:Jeanne and Jean are enumerated on the census of Port-Royal dated 1686. He is age 34 [sic] and Jeanne is 28. They have four children and live on 24 arpents of land. Jeanne died on an unknown date--her last known child was born about 1680 but she appears on the census of 1700, age48, as is her husband Jean. After Jeanne's death, Jean married C%C3%A9cile Melanson in 1703. Together they had 3 children:
