She was the daughter of Pierre Vincent and Anne Gaudet, who had been living in Port-Royal since 1671.≤ref name="DGFA"/>
:The couple settled in Port Royal and raised their children there. Between around 1685 and 1702, Jean and Hugette Agathe had 5 children: Marie-Anne, François-Marie, Anne, Jean and Pierre.≤ref name="DGFA" />
