About Jean Kerr, Marchioness of Lothian
JEAN CAMPBELL of CLAN CAMPBELL 1st MARCHIONESS-CONSORT of LOTHIAN
Lady Jean Campbell was born in Scotland.
Her parents were Archibald Campbell the Chief of Clan Campbell, 1st Marquess of Argyll, 8th Earl of Argyll, a member of the Privy Council of Scotland, a member of the Assembly of Divines, and Member of Parliament in 1659 for Aberdeenshire; and his wife Margaret Douglass Campbell Marchioness-Consort of Argyll, daughter of William Douglas 7th Earl of Morton.

He is often remembered as the principal opponent of the royalist General James Graham 1st Marquess of Montrose.
