Jean Somerville, here treated, is reported to be the daughter of John Somerville of Cambusnethan and his wife Katherine Murray, Lady Cambusnethan Stirnet: Somerville 02
A date and place of death has not been identified for Jean Somerville, here treated. However, she is not mentioned in her putative husband's testament dative, which did not make financial provision for a widow, and, consequently, it seems reasonable to suggest that she may have predeceased him. James Dunlop of that Ilk died before 30 April 1617. [National Records of Scotland, Glasgow Commissary Court, Testament Dative and Inventory of James Dunlope of that Ilk, parish of Dunlope, reference CC9/7/17]
