Pierre's parents, the couple Jehan Le Roux and Jehanne Chauffour, whose marraige was celebrated in the temple of Mer. The inscription in the marraige register (AD 41 - I 33/1:16) is as follows, in translation:
On Sunday 31st of May 1615 was blessed the marriage of Jehan Le Roux son of Richar(d) LeRoux and deceased Marye Dutens once his wife his father and mother and Jehanne Chauffour daughter of Gentian Chauffour and Marie Petit his wife also his father and mother.

'Jehan was christened on 26 December 1617. He probably died young. The mother, Jehanne Chauffour, died before 1638, and the widower, Jehan Le Roux married his second wife Suzanne Brossier.'
