DONIPHAN COUNTY 1882 PLAT BOOK, PART 9 PROFESSIONAL AND BUSINESS MEN, JEHIEL FRAZEE was born in 1844 in Jackson County, Ohio; settled in this county in 1871; residence on Section 21, Town 4, Range 20; P. O. Doniphan; business, farmer and stock-raiser; enlisted in Second Virginia Calvary; was in Custer's Division of Sheridan's Calvary. Union Soldier Civil War.

West Virginia Civil War Medal "Honorably Discharged" -- which have the figure of Liberty, scantily draped, to the right, with both arms extended. In the right-hand is a laurel wreath which she is about to place upon the head of a soldier, who is stepping forward to be crowned; and in the left hand she is holding a scroll which the soldier is receiving. Behind Liberty is the American eagle and behind the soldier is a box of growing cereals. In addition to the legend, motto and figure from the state's seal are the dates 1861 and 1865.

Jehiel Frazee married Jane Goddard, born June 1845 in Illinois. In 1880, Jehiel, Jane and family were living in Doniphan County Kansas, where Jehiel was listed as a farmer. Jane was a widow by 1900, when she and son Edward were living in Sumner County, Kansas, and Jane was enumerated as a carpet weaver. Children known from the 1880 and 1900 federal censuses were:

(a) Cinderella Frazee, born circa 1868 in Missouri.

(b) Augustus Frazee, born circa 1872 in Missouri, died 1882 of typhoid fever, at age of about 10.

(c) Ethel Lucy Frazee, born circa 1875 in Kansas, died September 6, 1895, at age of about 19.

(d) Jehiel Frazee, born July 12, 1876 in Kansas City, Kansas, died 1938, age of about 62.

(e) Edward Leslie Frazee, born September 19, 1884, in Doniphan County, Kansas, died January 6, 1943.
