NANCY4 GRIMES (Nancy3 Zinn, John Nicholas2, John1); born circa 1808 in Ohio; married JEHIEL FRAZEE, born circa 1807 in Ohio; died in 1860 in Colorado.275 In 1850, the family was living in Milton Township, Jackson County, Ohio, where Jehiel was listed as a farmer. In 1860, Nancy, presumably a widow by this time, was living with some of her children and daughter-in-law Elizabeth (wife of son Edward) in Vinton County, Ohio.276

Children listed in federal censuses (all born in Ohio):  (a) Jasper Frazee, born circa 1848; married [%E2%80%94?%E2%80%94]. In 1880, Jasper and daughter Florence were living in Elk Township, Vinton County, Ohio, where Jasper was farming (page 66)  (b) Newton Frazee, born circa 1851; married Agnes [%E2%80%94?%E2%80%94]; born circa 1860 in West Virginia. In 1880, Newton and Agnes were living with Newton's brother Lafayette Frazee in Falls Township, Hocking County, Ohio, where Newton was listed as a miner (page 41).  (c) Lafayette Frazee, born circa 1853; married Trifena [%E2%80%94?%E2%80%94]; born circa 1853 in Ohio. In 1880, Lafayette was living in Fall, Hocking County, Ohio, where Lafayette was listed as a miner (page 41).  (d) Ceneretta (?Jenrette) Frazee, born circa 1855.  (e) Gustavus Frazee, born circa 1857.  (f) Celesta Frazee, born circa 1859.  257 ii. Hezekiah Frazee; born 1829 in Ohio; married Tresse Sylvester, born circa 1838 in Ohio. In 1860, Hezekiah, Tresse and son Nallis? L. Frazee were living with Hezekiah's mother in Hamden Township, Vinton County, Ohio; where Hezekial was enumerated as teamster. In 1910 the family was living near John's brother Jehiel in Webb, Dewey County, Oklahoma, where John was farming (page 1B). Edward Frazee; born circa 1831 in Ohio; married Elizabeth Craig. Probably he was the E. Frazee, born circa 1832 in Ohio, living with his married sister Terressa and her child "L." (Samuel Leonard Tarr) and a J. C. Etzell? in Mountain, Arapahoe County, Kansas (census page 280) in 1860, when "E." Frazee was listed as a miner. At this time, Edward's wife Elizabeth and children were living with Edward's mother, Nancy, in Hamden, Ohio.  Children of Edward and Elizabeth known from the 1860 federal census:  (a) Samuel L. Frazee, born circa 1856 in Ohio; in 1900, Samuel L., single, was working on the Valdez Trans-Alaskan Military Road as a packer (page 1B).  (b) Lola Frazee, born circa 1858 in Ohio.  259 iv. Augustus Frazee; reported born 1832 in Ohio, died 1860; married Ann W. Long, born circa 1836 in Ohio. She was a daughter of Lewis V. and Almeda (Wilbur) Long.278 Lewis V. was a brother of William Adam Long, who married Sarah Zinn (#103). In 1850, Jehiel and Nancy (Grimes) Frazee and family were enumerated next to Almeda Long and her family including daughter Anna W. Long (apparently Lewis V. Long was deceased by this time).279  Children of Augustus and Anna W. (Long) Frazee were  (a) Helvetta Frazee, born 1852  (b) Lewis Frazee, born circa 1853.   260 v. Cinderella Frazee; born October 1835 in Ohio; married William H. Tissue; born February 1831 in Ohio. In 1870, William and Cinderella and daughter Josephine were living in Chariton Township, Appanoose County, Iowa, where William was enumerated as manager of a wholesale clothing house—enumerated in the next household were William and Janwaha Tissue, both born circa 1810 in Pennsylvania—they were probably William's parents. In 1880, the family was in Unionville, Missouri, where William was a clothing dealer. By 1900, William and Cinderella were living alone in Orange County, California, where William was enumerated as a farmer.  Child known from the 1870 and 1880 federal censuses was  (a) Josephine Tissue, born 1867 in Iowa.280 +   261 vi. Terressa A. Frazee; born 1838; married Pinckney Tarr, a second cousin.  262 vii. William A. Frazee; born 1841 in Ohio; married Lydia Wood,281 born circa 1848 in Kentucky.  William was farming in Sedgwick County, Kansas, in 1880, when the family consisted of four children (all born in Kansas):  (a) Charles Frazee, born circa 1871; married Lula [%E2%80%94?%E2%80%94]; born circa 1876 in Illinois. In 1900, Charles and family were living next to Charles's brothers Edward and Bert and their families in Sherman Township, Sedgwick County, Kansas, where they all were farming (page 7A). In 1910 (page 2B), 1920 (page 7A) and 1930 (1B), Charles and family were enumerated in Valley Center, Sedgwick County, where Charles was farming.  Children of Charles and Lula Frazee known from the federal censuses (all born in Kansas):  (i) Haney W. Frazee; born February 1898.  (ii) George M. Frazee; born circa 1901.  (iii) William P. Frazee; born circa 1906.  (iv) Pearl Frazee; born circa 1907.  (v) Charles Frazee; born circa 1915.  (vi) Dorothea M. Frazee; born (private).  (b) Edward Frazee, born 5 December 1872; married Monie [%E2%80%94?%E2%80%94]; born circa 1882 in Kansas. The family lived in Sherman Township, Sedgwick County, Kansas in 1900 (page 7A), 1910 (page 2A) and 1920 (page 4B), where Edward was a farmer.  Children of Edward and Monie Frazee known from the federal censuses (all born in Kansas):  (i) William F. Frazee; born March 1898.  (ii) Charles Frazee; born May 1900.  (iii) Clara Frazee; born circa 1905.  (iv) Howard Frazee; born circa 1910.  (c) Lewis Frazee, born circa 1874.  (d) Bert Lee Frazee, born 28 February 1877 (re his 1918 World War I Draft Registration Card, when Bert and Lena were living in Cheney, Sedgwick County, Kansas); married (first) Lena [%E2%80%94?%E2%80%94]; born March 1876 in Missouri; married (second) Lulu [%E2%80%94?%E2%80%94]; born circa 1882 in Kansas.282 In 1900, Bert, brothers Charles and Edward and families were living next to each other in Sherman Township, Sedgwick County, Kansas. In 1910, Bert and family were in Morton Township, Sedgwick County (page 10B). By 1920, Lena had died; Bert and children Lyia and Laura were living in Greeley Township, Sedgwick County (page 9B). In 1930, Bert and second wife Lulu were still in Greeley Township, living by themselves (page 5A).  Children of Bert and Lena Frazee known from the federal censuses (both born in Kansas):  (i) Lydia Frances Frazee; born circa 1902. < (ii) Laura Frazee; born circa 1914. 

 263 viii. Jehiel Frazee; born circa 1844 in Ohio; married Jane Goddard, born June 1845 in Illinois. In 1880, Jehiel, Jane and family were living in Doniphan County Kansas, where Jehiel was listed as a farmer. Jane was a widow by 1900, when she and son Edward were living in Sumner County, Kansas and Jane was enumerated as a carpet weaver.  Children known from the 1880 and 1900 federal censuses were283  (a) Cinderella Frazee, born circa 1868 in Missouri.  (b) Augustus Frazee, born circa 1872 in Missouri.  (c) Lucy Frazee, born circa 1876 in Kansas.  (d) Jehiel Frazee, born circa 1878 in Kansas.  (e) Edward Frazee, born September in Illinois.   264 ix. She was living with her mother in Hamden, Ohio, in 1860.   266 xi. Amanda Frazee; born circa 1850 in Ohio; married Thomas G. Underwood, born circa 1841 in Missouri. He was a farmer.  Children known from the 1880 federal census when the family was in Buchanan County, Missouri (all born in Missouri):285  (a) Helvetta (Elvetta) Underwood, born circa 1870; married [%E2%80%94?%E2%80%94] Campbell. Helvetta and Mr. Campbell were divorced by 1910, when Helvetta and child Irene Campbell were living with Helvetta's father, who was a widower at this time.  Child of Helvetta Campbell known from the 1910 federal census:  (i) Irene Campbell; born circa 1902 in OKlahoma>  (b) Minnie Underwood, born circa 1872.
