About Jemima M. Lewis
After Benjamin's death Deliverance married, 2nd, as his second wife, Jonathan Lewis of Huntington, L.I., son of John Lewis of Westerly, R,I,, who had married, 1st, in 1683, Jemima Whitehead. Jonathan Lewis' will dated August 9/1708, proved August 11/1704 (?) left to his eldest son Jonathan œ400 and half his right of land in Huntington and his 33 acre home lot: to son John, œ400 and a right of land: to son Daniel œ400 and a right of land: and to his daughters, all under age in 1708, Sybil, Elizabeth, Jemima, Hannah and Sarah, and a child unborn, lands. Hempstead Town Records, Vol 2, states that Jonathan paid over to Benjamin's children, œ15 cash, from a trust fund left them by Robert After.
