Thomas Bryson reported in February 2017:

Elizabeth Pennington, b. 25 Oct 1839 City of Grayson, Lawerence County, Kentucky which is now Carter County, Kentucky, m. 17 Jan 1860 Lexington, Lafayette, Missouri to James H Bryson born in Lewis County Kentucky, d. 18 Sep 1921 Wymore, Gage, Nebraska,

An article of Jonathan Penning, believed to be father and Issac Penning his brother, had them leaving Grayson in 1859 for Missouri. (In May 1859, Isaac and Abigail and their children moved to Lafayette County, Missouri where the “country was very well adapted to all the purposes of agriculture.” Isaac’s brother Jonathan and his family moved to Missouri about this same time.)
