NOTE: George Fields wife was Jennie, not Nannie, Brown. Nannie was the wife of George's brother Richard.
Jennie Brown was born in the Cherokee Nation (East) about 1778. She was the daughter of Robert Brown, a white man, and an unknown Cherokee woman. [1] She married George Fields about 1795. They were the parents of five children, [2] Archibald, [3] Robert, Johnson, [4] Susie, [5] and Rachel. George left her about 1810, and she died in October, 1815. [6]
