About Rider Fields
Rider Fields was a Cherokee man
Biography
Rider Fields was born in the Cherokee Nation about 1812. He was the son of George Fields and Sarah Coody, both Cherokee. He married or had children with at least three women, Margaret Bruner, Jennie Huss, and Sallie McDaniel. His children were Sarah, Ellen, Rachel, Susan, Catherine, Nannie, and Annie. [1] He is listed on the 1835 Cherokee Census living in what is now Jackson County, Alabama with a family of eight. [2] He was Removed to Indian Territory and appears on the 1851 Drennan Roll, living in the Saline District with daughters Ellen, Catherine, and Rachel. [3] He is believed to have died about 1867.
