Jennie attended Bor du Lac Seminary at Oconomowoc, WI, and Milwaukee College, later known as Downer College. She was a charter member of the early Waupaca Woman's Club and its successor, the Monday Night Club. She was a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Life member of the D.A.R. and the U.S.D. of the War of 1812. Most of her life was spent in Waupaca WI; she went to Davenport, IA to live with her daughter Mary in her later years.
