- NOTE: In 1640 Jeremiah was of the party from Lynn who settled Southampton at the east end of Long Island and assisted his father in opening a trading station for the tobacco traders. Acting for his father, established a trading post at the Isle of Barbados, with Jeremiah being placed in charge.

The American family of Neall: came from VA to found the trading station at Salem. He was an agent of the Calverts, Lord Baltimore. In 1640, he and son Jeremiah assisted in opening a station for the Long Island tobacco traders. Jeremiah, acting for his father, opened trading posts in the West Indies and the Isle of Barbados.
Parentage given here is that for John. His wife was a Cromwell
