About Jessie May Wallace Glanville
Email received: 2017
I am contacting you about this profile: Jessie May Wallace Glanville
This child was a girl and her name was Jessie May Wallace. She was born on the same day her mother died in 25 Mar 1919, and buried at Glendale Cemetery on the 28th of the same month.
I have yet to find their death certificate(s). Mother and child were buried together. I don't know if their deaths were due to pregnancy issues or something else. I had a great grandmother who died in this same area in 2 Jan 1919 of influenza.
Sincerely, Cheri McNaul
re: Jessie May Wallace
I did indeed find Jesse Wallace, the mother's death certificate and says that she died from bronchial pneumonia as a complication of the Spanish Influenza, and the baby was born premature. The baby died six hours after her mother died, and they were buried together in the Glendale Cemetery, near Clarence's parents graves. It doesn't say if her pregnancy was induced, or if the baby was born due to the stresses caused by the flu. I also found three newspaper announcements, their deaths, the obituary/funeral arrangements, and then a thank you posted by her parents afterwards. Clarence did go on to remarry in 1921 to my grandmother, Rachel Mae Bates. They had 12 known children together.
