OBITUARY - Plain Dealer, Wabash (IN)

Mrs. Jessie Thompson Smith, 84, died Saturday evening at 2:30 o'clock in her home, 44 East Maple street, after an illness of six months.

Mrs. Smith was born in October 1859, the daughter of Robert and Mary Isabell Campbell Thompson in Wabash County where she has resided all her life. For 50 years she has lived in the city of Wabash where she was an active member of the Wabash Street Methodist Church.

In 1908 she was married to Charles E. Smith, who preceded her in death in May 1931. Their only son, Noble Smith, died in 1920. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Belle McNary, with whom she resided.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in the Hoover Funeral home with the Rev. B.D. Nysewander officiating and burial was at Falls cemetery.* Reference: Find A Grave Memorial - SmartCopy: Feb 28 2021, 22:20:22 UTC
