About Joan Poore
Not the daughter of William Gilbert Dean of Dorchester - that Deane family had immigrants to Maryland, not Massachusetts,
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mainegenie/POOR.htm Although we have no factual data to confirm it, Daniel Poore may have been the father of John, Nicholas, Alice, Samuel, Daniel and Thomas Poore. Nicholas is often found as Nickolas in various accounts.
There is a lack of birth, marriage and death records for Daniel Poore. Family tradition states that he was born at (or near) Salisbury, Wiltshire in 1590. The Poore estates at Amesbury and Durrington represented the center of operations for this large family. By 1590, the Poores had land holdings all along the River Avon and east into the Andover and Wallops area of Hampshire. Within the city of Salisbury, the Poores occupied properties at St. Martins Parish and Edmunds Church district. These parishes were also the urban locations for many of the related Hampshire families, including Gore, Reade, Singer, Noyes and Parker.
