Biography ==Joan Copp, daughter of William Copp and his first wife, Anne (Rogers) Copp, was christened at Hatton, Warwickshire, England, on 13 October 1625.<ref>Worthen, "English Antecedents of William Copp, page 152.</ref>

She emigrated to New England with her family, settling in Boston, Province of Massachusetts Bay, where her father is recorded in 1640. Boston records show her name as Joanna. She had married Samuel Norden (alsocalled Samuel Northend or Hugh Northend) by about 1646. Five childrenof their marriage were recorded in Boston.<ref name=Worthen341>Worthen, "Descendants of William Copp, page 341.</ref>
