"Abstracts of Executor, Administrator, and Guardian Bonds of RockinghamCo, VA 1779-1864" by Marguerite B. Priode. Son George, Wife Eve, posted bond for 1200 pounds, for administration of Hans Adam Bible's estate.

Hans Adam Biebel (Adam Bible). Born on 4 Jan 1732 in Goersdorf, Alsace, On 19 Nov 1748, when Adam was 16, he married Maria Eva Müller, daughter of Otto Phillip Müller, in Goersdorf, Alsace. After their first child was born and died, Adam and his young wife left their home clandestinely, since emigration was prohibited at the time, and sailed to America from Rotterdam aboard the ship Sandwich, arriving in Philadelphia on November 30, 1750. After living for some time in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, they eventually settled in the Shenandoah Valley, where they lived the rest of their lives. Adam died in Rockingham County, Virginia before 23 Feb 1795, when his widow and son were appointed administrators of his estate.

He is probably buried in the old Bible Cemetery in Rockingham County where there are 9 graves, marked only by rocks.
