In 1765, Johann Georg Zehner emigrated along with his two brothers Johann Michel and Johann Jacob and probably his sister, Magdalena from Kutzenhausen in Northern Alsace. Johann Georg and Magdalena are not listed on the ship's register because only males age 16 and over were listed. They sailed on the "Betsey" captained by John Osman from Rotterdam, but last from Cowes. The "Betsy" landed in Philadelphia on 19 September 1765. Georg Zehner and Magdalena appear in the Westmoreland County records in 1775.

Descendents of Georg spell their name SEANOR. An early record (probably from a census-taker) shows spelling one time as SENER and another time as SENOR. A later record shows ZENOR. On Georg's will done in 1823, he spells his name George ZEANOR, or at least the person who wrote the will spelled it that way.

The wife of George Zehner is Anna Maria Ramm (Ream, Reihm, Riehn). Both tombstones, located in the last row, were examined by Jennifer Errett. The following inscriptions were received from her:

In Memory of Anna Maria Zanor who died March __ 1814 aged 58 years __ months and 9 days

In Memory of George Zaner who died March 3rd 1826 Aged 76 yrs
The above tombstone inscriptions were confirmed by me, Robert Seanor McCabe during my trip to Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania in 2007.
