About Johann Nicholas Firestone (Feuerstein) II

Johann Nicholas Firestone was the oldest son of Hans Nicholas Feuerstein (Firestone) and Anna Catherina Nunnemacher. He and his father qualified for entry at Philadelphia, PA in 1753, then settled in York County, PA, moved to Bedford, PA then Cumberland, PA (now Franklin). In 1786 he would move to Frederick County, Maryland and then later settled at Mill Creek, Botetourt County Virginia about 1807. Johann's will was made out in Maryland, probated in Botetourt County, VA November 1808.

Served as a Private, 1st Class, Battalion 6th, 2nd Col, (Cumberland Militia)

Believed to be buried in graveyard near the SE VA Turnpike, in the Valley of VA, possibly Brugh-Ammen Cemetery.

Oldest son of Hans Nicholas FEUERSTEIN and Anna Catherina NUNNEMACHER. Born in Thal, Berg Parish, Germany/France. He and his father qualified for entry at Philadelphia in 1753, settles in York County, PA, moves to Bedford, then Cumberland (now Franklin). In 1786 would move to Frederick County Maryland and then later settles at Mill Creek, Botetourt County Virginia about 1807. Will made out in Maryland, probated in Botetourt County November 1808.

Served: Pvt. 1st Class Joined in 1780, serving in the 6th company, 4th Battalion, of the Cumberland County Colonial Militia. Under the command of Captain Patrick Jack.

Believed to be buried in graveyard near the SE VA Turnpike, in the Valley of VA, possibly Brugh-Ammen Cemetery.
