Life Sketch

She was not born in Maryland. She was transported into Maryland in 1650 by her father James Warner, meaning she was born before 1650 outside of Maryland. See Maryland Patents Q, pp. 237-238 [images 122-123 of 256] https://msa.maryland.gov/megafile/msa/stagserm/sm1/sm2/000000/00000...

"James Warner transported himself Joan his wife Joan his child and John Mathews his servant in anno 1650 into our Province...."

It would be doubtful that she was born in 1630 as people keep changing to, as that would mean she was age 37 when her first child was born. That would be extremely unlikely. It would also mean that James Warner had no other children born between 1630 and 1650 or he would have claimed transportation rights for them. Again it is unlikely there would have been no other children born in 20 years.

James Warner's other child Catherine was not in the transportation record, and would have been born after 1650, probably about 1651 as that is consistent with her having a first child born about 1669, and consistent with Joan [Joanna] being born about 1649.
