Johannes Arnoldus Hofius (son of the Johannes Hofius and the Sibylle Antoinette Berck) was born at the 29.Maerz 1732 in Iserlohn. He married at the 4.Mai 1756 in Iserlohn Johanne Sophie Luehrmann, which died at the 25.Juli 1789 in Iserlohn. Johannes Arnoldus visited the latin school in came and registered to 30.9.1749 in Duisburg as a theology student. There he wrote a thesis under the title "Dissertatio theologica secunda de aequilibrio de meriti peccati et vicariarum Iesu Christi passionum". It was ordiniert to 11.3.1755 introduced to Iserlohn as reformed ministers and was for the first time baptized and to 16.3.1755 in Iserlohn. 1772 it translated the Hellenburger Katechismus into the high German, 1774 was it Praeses of the Maerki Synode. At the 31.Januar 1803 Johannes Arnoldus in Iserlohn at the age of 70 years died.
