Johannes 'Nardus' Haasbroek (1929 - 2005)

Brief overview:

Nardus (75), was murdered at Farm Eerlyk, Dealesville. He was hit over the head with his own walking stick (kierie) and stabbed in the back with a knife for a pack of meat, a hi-fi and an old bakkie. Haasbroek, who was hard of hearing, was attacked in the house on Sunday night.

His body was found early Monday morning by his domestic worker, Ms. Elisa Modise.
