Mr. Hallum who lived about four miles south of town, was laid to rest in the Synod Lutheran cemetery at Manchester last Friday.
He was one of the early settlers in this part of the country. He was quite well advanced in years and was highly respected by all who knew him.

His sterling honesty and kindness of character made everyone his friend. He leaves his wife and 8 children. The funeral will occur Friday from the West Lutheran church in Manchester.
