No children She raised her nephew, Mathias (Christenson) Olson since her was 10 years old. She came to America with her husband, Anders and her mother and father, Gerhard Christenson and his wife Martha(Olsdatter) Christenson, also her brother Johannes (Christenson) Hallum and his family. They came from Hurdal, Norway in May 1861 and came to Quebec, Canada and then moved to Wisconsin where they stayed long enough to get provisions to move to Southern Minnesota by Oxen. He was a farmer and she was a housewife. They raised Mathias for 10 years before his real mother and father could make it to America and join them. His name was Christen(Gerhardson)Hagen.

Mathias Olson's mother was laid to rest in the Synod Lutheran Cemetery at Manchester, Jan. 30, Rev. R.J.J. Strand conducted the funeral service. The relatives have our sympathy. Freeborn County Standard Feb. 10, 1897
